Anyone telling you one of these cartridges “cant kill deer” hasnt spent enough time in the woods with either one.
My actual pick, for what its worth #
If youre building a do-it-all rig for whitetail in timber country and youre recoil-sensitive or outfitting a new hunter, I’d point you toward the 6.5 Creedmoor. Its flatter, softer shooting, and forgiving of imperfect range estimation.
